The Yankees take 2 of three from Kansas City. But I wonder whether the third should count because it was so weird. I don't think it's possible to record three outs on the first two batters of the game, but that was what happened to the Yankees. They led off the second with #3 hitter Mike Johnson, and I had no idea what to do about it.
Turned out the mistake didn't hurt me and the game became a 12-2 rout. The Yankees improve to 18-12 after 30 games (unless I need to replay or forfeit my home game) while the Royals are posting a still-respectable 16-14 record.
I should note that game two was a classic pitching duel which Andy Pettite and Mariano Rivera ended up winning 2-0. That game was very tense and enjoyable.
